Three common mistakes that are made during dumbbell curls are using momentum to lift the weight, not fully extending the arms, and not engaging the core. These mistakes can lead to using other muscles to compensate for the lack of engagement in the biceps, not fully working the biceps, and placing unnecessary strain on the lower back.

❌ To avoid using momentum,
✅ Focus on lifting the weight slowly and controlled, and pause at the top of the movement to fully engage the biceps.

To fully extend the arms, make sure to straighten them completely at the bottom of the movement but avoid hyperextending them as this can cause discomfort.

Engage the core to maintain good posture throughout the exercise, which will help prevent lower back strain.
