I decided to show the whole process here some in real tome some in slow-mo and some sped up. The helmet took about 8 days to dry! Like the child I am I tried to touch it and move it several times before it was done.. which were all a bad idea . Lots of factors here , I’m using high end specialty paint.. and depending on the temperatures changes the flow of the paint and dry time but also the kinetic movement of the paint. This is second helmet I did and combined I learned a lot.. also a lot of taking off all the metal parts and taping off no of which am I a fan of… possible next ones I’ll just leave everything on the helmet !
