This project started as a heavily butchered Colt 1911 frame. Purchased from a DM I received on IG. From a gentleman that gave up on being a gunsmith( after this frame) After some cutting, Tig welding, surface grinding, more tig welding. And some Manual mill work. And a ton of hand filing. The frame started to come around. A Colt Custom Shop slide was purchased on eBay and fit to the frame. Along with a bunch of other JJFU parts. After final finishing and coating and test firing. You would never know the difficult life this Colt 1911 had been through, and how close it came to the scrap bin. Like I said, things will ALWAYS get better..
