松崎は、静岡県の伊豆半島の西海岸にある「なまこ壁(斜めに貼った平瓦のめじを漆喰で盛り上げた壁)」の民家や蔵が多い港町です⚓️

かまぼこ状に盛り上がった漆喰の形状が、海鼠(なまこ)に似ているので「なまこ壁」と言われています。

狩野派で絵師として修行し、彫刻も学んだ漆喰芸術鏝絵の名工・入江 長八は、75歳で亡くなるまで多くの作品を残しました。
百年前の、1923(大正12)年、関東大震災で大半が消失してしまいましたが、「伊豆の長八美術館」には約45点の作品が見られます🖼

Chohachi Irie, a master plaster artist who trained as a painter in the Kano school and also learned sculpture, left behind many works until his death at the age of 75.
100 years ago, in 1923 (Taisho 12), most of them were unfortunately lost in the Great Kanto Earthquake, but about 45 works can be seen at the Chohachi Museum of Art in Izu🖼
