Your loved ones, your home, your livelihood, your security. We have a team working around the clock - led by Efe and Dani. Sometimes they are helping to locate lost loved ones, sometimes they are providing shelters (most are living in wet tents from the recent flooding), and sometimes they are feeding 2,300 hungry people queued up for food rations. Everyone thinks these regions are taken care of by big organizations, the government or international community. That’s what the media and officials tell us. But what do you hear when you speak to the locals? “Sorry @treanapeake, I am only able to write you now. It took me a while to wake up to the reality. It’s beyond what any words can explain. Not even a single building remaining. People are so desperate. We are still pulling people out of the rubble. People lost everything.
