In April 2022 I felt a bit unwell and at a famous Japanese hospital I was persuaded to do a spinal fluid test.  It was done so badly that I had horrific complications. ⁣⁣⁣

I am now suffering from a CSF leak and Adhesive Arachnoiditis, caused by medical negligence. ⁣⁣⁣

The neurologist told me he HAD TO perform the lumbar puncture on me or else I’d wake up the next day unable to walk or feel my feet. He suspected guillain barre syndrome, which was a total misjudgment. Even if I had more correct signs of it there are other non-invasive ways to test for this. So the lumbar puncture was reckless and completely unnecessary. ⁣

He did not warn me of any risks, failed to tell me I’m in the risk group for complications and made me sign a form in Japanese without translation. ⁣⁣⁣

He did the lumbar puncture bedside, without guidance. Before he stuck the needle in my spine he told his colleague who was watching ”wakarinikui” or “difficult to understand” (meaning he didn’t know where he was about to put the needle in me. It felt like I was his test subject. After the complications happened, he and the rest of his team then refused to treat me. The adheasive arachnoiditis progressed to a point where I can no longer sit or lay on my back, and my legs and feet go numb, swell and turn purple.⁣⁣⁣

I’ve been ridiculed, called hysteric/crazy and laughed at. One doctor pulled my leg so hard to prove I was “faking it” that my pain and symptoms got worse. I’ve been treated inhumanely for so long. I almost started to think I actually had gone crazy at one point. But my symptoms were just too severe that there was no denying to what had happened to me.⁣⁣⁣

These doctors get away with everything because they cover their own and each other’s asses so well. The neurologist got to practice a spinal tap on me, then threw me to the curb when things went wrong. He destroyed my beautiful life and normal functioning pain-free body. All I can do now is lay on my sides in severe constant pain. Every day is a nightmare, I have 0 quality of life. It’s almost been a year.⁣⁣⁣
