I feel grateful to have built a career in this space and feel proud to be one of the ‘OG’s’. I am not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s impossible for anyone to be liked by everyone in the real world and the online world. It’s just the online world can be cruel. You may not know this already about my profile… the messages I receive on a daily basis - public comments, private DMs, YouTube comments, emails - can be utterly heartbreaking. Abusive hate messages day in day out takes it toll over 10 years. I’ve been trolled, harassed, stalked. It has held me back from being ‘me’ online for too long, a fear constantly that I’ll be ‘caught out’. From the bottom of my heart, I have only the best intentions, but I cannot thrive or live to my full potential if I stay in this space of fear. So, enough is enough. I am not a rag doll to be punched and pulled. I am not a piece of dirt to be spat at and stamped on. I am human. I feel love. I feel pain. This goes for other fellow content creators who go through the same. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for constructive criticism, and I often have the most insightful back and forth conversations with my followers who are genuinely providing their honest opinions on my brand/content/perspective and I pride myself on my open mind and curiosity. I am so appreciative to them. I want to thank the majority of my audience on here and YouTube (because it’s important to recognise that you ARE the MAJORITY) for sharing you kindness, your support, your heart. It brings me so much joy to see my followers sharing wisdom and love in the public comments of my content, and I am proud of the community that has been built.
