This gown was inspired from the famous Japanese artwork of Utagawa Hiroshige called “Pheasant and Pine-trees on Snowy Hillside.”
Undoubtedly recognizable by colors and patterns, this Louis Pangilinan Fashion Empire collection is primarily inspired from the Pheasant bird in Utagawa’s painting — a symbol of love and luck in Japan.
This gown also premeditates the hand-embroidered beads, sequins, and crystals that decodes some of the Japanese traditional patterns called Wagara: the Seigaiha, Tatewaku, Kagome, and San Kuzushi.
