It’s not every day I get to wear a hard hat. Last week, I got to stop by the site of the Obama Presidential Center and was so inspired by the progress that’s been made and how this team is living up to the ideals we’ve set.

We’ve always believed that the people building the Center should look like the community it calls home on the South Side of Chicago. I’m proud that our team is recruiting and training people of color to be leaders in the industry—creating a new model for diversity in construction—and that we’re on track to meeting our ambitious goals.
