Well, it’s not just beautiful, it’s also in significant danger.
A mega-project in Mexico called the #TRENMAYA has the potential to permanently and irreversibly impact this ecosystem. Yes! Those stunning waters and jungle many of you have visited and swam in.
This is one of the largest underground river and cenotes system in the world.
It holds monumental archeological evidence. The oldest human skeleton found in the continent of America.
This jungle around it, which has be devastes is one of the largest 🫁 lungs for the planet 🌎 and it houses thousands of species, specifically the already endangered Jaguar 🐆.
