I know I’m a day or two early for Mothers Day but it’s weighing heavy on my mind that just 8 months ago I was on the brink of depression, feeling suicidal, lost, a failure, attacked, full of shame, guilt and a million other negative emotions. I thought I wasn’t worthy to be a mother or a daughter. I felt discarded, abandoned, worthless, useless and hopeless. I am so happy I was surrounded by my anchors that pulled me back to the light: my daughter, my husband and my sisters. They helped me overcome my PTSD panic attacks and many fears and anxieties that were plaguing my life. I can now celebrate my motherhood with peace and happiness. If you feel low, just know we are all going through battles and remember to anchor yourself back to your blessings and blessed beings in your life. They can be life changing. Forgive yourself. And forgive others. It is way harder than it sounds. But it is possible. I had to do prayers, therapy and plant medicine (ayahuasca) to get any sign of relief. But it came and for that I am happy and will do what I can to help others come out of their dark hole to the light. Don’t refuse to be helped. Don’t be ashamed to get help. We all drown sometimes. But we must swim and reach out for the life rafts and anchors in our life. Thank you, God & friends. 🙏🏽💖🌈
