He was our teacher at the Japanese school I used to go to every Saturday in Sydney when I was a kid. Fast forward something like seventeen eighteen? years, here we are now working together on a show in New York & London this time not as my sensei but as my boss. like this is so bonkers and absolutely mind blowing how on earth could I have ever imagined doing such an amazing show with my childhood teacher? This world is so small… Usami sensei, thank you for being my mum during the shoot and taking care of me and making me the most heartwarming miso soups and curries and rice balls and being a great costar to work with❤️ this was such a special 思い出✨ p.s your curry was my absolute favourite. also p.s I hope I’m your favourite student😉 - 素敵な方をご紹介させて下さい。こちらうさみしんごさん。(しんごさんごめーん、漢字変わらない笑) この方、なんと私が幼少期生まれ育ったシドニーで毎週土曜日に通っていた日本語の補修校の先生でした。約18年？くらいの長い年数を経てニューヨークのセットで再会しました。もう本当にびっくりしすぎてまさかこんな形でうさみ先生と再会して素敵な作品を一緒に作ることになるとは、夢にも思っていませんでした。本当に世界は狭いです。同時は先生、今回は上司役。ニューヨークとロンドンではしんごさんがいつも手作りのおにぎりや、カレー、お味噌汁などを届けくれて、ホームシックな私にとってはこんなに嬉しいことはなかったです😭 心の奥までお味噌汁が染み渡りました。しんごさん長い撮影お疲れ様でした！本当に素敵な思い出をありがとう❤️ いつまでも一番お気に入りの生徒でいれますようにー。 #INVASION」11月26日 15時35分
