To be honest, I didn’t expect the show would become such a phenomenal success at the beginning. All I knew was that the directors, casts, and staff were all amazing and that the script was entertaining, but I had no idea what reactions from people would be. I just decided to join this series because I found not only the story and the era interesting but also I wanted to perform one of the actresses who lived through the tumultuous times. Besides, I was also attracted that people around the world would watch the show. We had so many discussions during the production. Naoko is inspired by a popular actress at the time, but it also adapts not a few personalities of my own. This made Naoko as an original character of The Naked Director. I’m not sure if Naoko became like me or I became like her though. Anyway, it might be strange to say, but I was just so honored to be the part of the show as Naoko that the reputation from the public did not matter to me. This role was much needed in my acting career, and I'm glad I chose this path. My favorite scene in Season 2 is the strip scene. The actresses of Diamond Visual practiced hard to perform on the stage at Asakusa Rockza. As in Naoko's dialogue, they fanaticized not only men all over in Japan but also around the world with nothing but their bodies. I think it’s the most obvious scene that shows the feeling of “don't make a fool of actresses or women!!!” Women are strong. Genuinely attractive women are proudly dancing in there. Looking forward to hearing your impressions on the new season.
