浅野菜緒子さんのインスタグラム写真 - (浅野菜緒子Instagram)「少し前にインタビューさせていただいたスクリプカリウ落合安奈さんの個展に伺いました🐒✨ 私が最初にスクリプカリウさんを知るきっかけとなった『明滅する輪郭』に加えて、様々な猿の姿を描いたシリーズ『mirrors』から新作が多数出展されています。『mirrors』は異なる種の猿たちの姿が一点一点個性豊かに描かれていて、どこかコミカルな様子を眺めるだけでも興味深いのですが、その制作背景や意図を知るとより深みが増すシリーズです。ご自身がこれまでずっと取り組んでこられたテーマである「土地と人の結びつき」に紐付いた作品であり、サルと人間を合わせ鏡のように対峙させています。スクリプカリウさんとお話する度に印象的なのは、どんな質問についても決して曖昧な返答をされないことで、作品のディテールや制作過程ひとつひとつに込められた意味や理由を丁寧に説明してくださること。猿や人間然り作家もまた一人として同じ作家はいないわけで、スクリプカリウさんの場合は、アーティストであると同時に、文化人類学や社会学的な視点をもったリサーチャーでもあるなと感じます。 (📸インタビュー以来久々にお会いした岸さんとスクリプカリウさんと😌🌿) Congratulations on your solo show, “Journey”, Ana! This thought-provoking show features her latest works from the two series, “Outline to flicker”—through which I was introduced to the artist in the first place—and “mirrors”. The latter series, at one glance, appears as rather humorous depictions of monkeys of different types; but it is, in fact, a visual representation (or perhaps, visual report) of her observational study of human nature and activities based on the theme, ‘the connection between the land and the people’. What strikes me every time I speak with her is her sincerity and minuteness of her responses—to whatever question, she never gives you vague responses and there’s no such thing like obscurity in her words when explaining her works and creating process.
