Ever year from mid-April to early May, the nearly 10,000 peach blossom trees bloom in unison, creating a beautiful gradiation of white, pink and madder red. This great number of trees all started from three saplings purchased in Munich by Fukusawa Momosuke, the son-in-law of Fukusawa Yukichi (the face of the 10,000 yen bill).
