I couldn’t wait to play these brave new songs I’d spent years writing to tens of thousands of you around the world. Instead I played them as a sweaty mess from the make shift studio i built in the spare bedroom of a house that I no longer live in. This album didn’t take me as far as I had hoped or wanted, both physically and mentally. I actually feel like I’ve fallen through a couple of rungs on the ladder. More people should’ve had the chance to love Love, Death & Dancing as much as I do. I feel like I blossomed as a writer on this record. I felt like the prettiest flower growing from the stinkiest pile of shit. I still feel pretty, but I honestly think my colours are brighter and bolder and deserved more attention than I received from the bees. Anyway, I digress.
