When people talk about Hubert de Givenchy they may think that the great loves of his life were Greta Garbo or Audrey Hepburn but the true greatest love of his life was Philippe Venet—a wonderful Parisian designer who recently passed away. Together, Hubert and Philippe shared some of the most beautiful homes in France and also some wonderful black labradors. The bags they are holding in this photo were made in the Caribbean islands, commissioned by Givenchy, and he gave them to me and Nan after we sent him this picture. Now they can be together once again and always.
