Episode 1 Papichulo

2010年の暮れに登った自身初の5.15a/9a+であるPapichulo(第４登)。学生時代は、世界最難グレードが5.15aから5.15cへ押し進められた時代でもあり、5.15aの世界は僕にとっては憧れのステージだった。2008年に @クリス・シャーマ によって初登されたPapichuloは50メートルの壁面で最後まで気の抜けない持久系ルートで、今では5.15aの入り口にあるような存在だ。身体が軽く底なしの持久力があった僕にとってはまさにぴったりのルートだった。日が照り、岩が暑ければ登れないとか、そういった知識すらなく、無鉄砲だったのを今でも覚えている。自分をハードルートの世界へ誘った思い出深いルートだ。

End of 2010, I have climbed my first 5.15a/9a+ Papichulo(4th Accent). The grade pushed up from 5.15a/9a+ to 5.15c/9b+ in the world when I was a student. I had been dreaming to climb 5.15a/9a+. 50m long mega endurance route has opened by @クリス・シャーマ in 2008. And it is easy side in the grade I guess. I was very light weight(Even now😂) with good endurance so the route fits me very much. I didn’t even know it is hard to climb in the sun at that time. I was ignorant. This is the route which invited me to the world of hard route and very memorable.
