「長い会社員人生に終止符を打ち、プロデューサー兼編集長としてサステナブルな情報を届けるデジタルメディア『ELEMINIST』を立ち上げるなど、フリーランスとして活動しはじめた2020年。個人オフィス探しをしていた矢先、リモートワークがニューノーマル（新しい日常）になり、自宅に仕事スペースを作りました。朝のコーヒータイムをゆっくり楽しんだあと、ダイニングでパソコンを開いて仕事モードに切り替える生活。満員電車に揺られる通勤生活から解放されたことで時間の余裕は生まれましたが、次第に私生活との境目が曖昧に。ライフワークバランスの調整に苦労した一年でした。東京と地方の二拠点生活をはじめる知人が日に日に増え、パラダイムシフトが起きていると実感しています。『いずれ都内にも畑付きのリノベーション物件が出てくるのでは？』と期待しつつ、すぐに移住しようとは考えてはいません。ただ、災害や気候危機に備えた暮らしの準備はしておきたいもの。これからのスタイルに合ったサステナブルな暮らしを探しに『GINZA SIX』へ」

Editor Minami Fukamoto takes us on a leisurely stroll around GINZA SIX in the latest installment of GINZA SIX EDITORS. “2020 was the year I went freelance. I left the company job I’d had for a long time and became producer and editor in chief of “ELEMINIST,” an online guide for leading a sustainable lifestyle. While I was searching for an office, remote working became my new normal, and I made myself a home working space. With more and more of my acquaintances dividing their time between Tokyo and rural communities, I really feel there is a paradigm shift happening. My hope is that we start to see renovated properties in the city that come with a plot of farming land. Personally, I don’t intend to relocate anytime soon, but from a lifestyle perspective it’s important to prepare for natural disasters and the climate crisis. So I went to GINZA SIX in search of sustainable living fit for our times.” Fukamoto starts at GINZA TSUTAYA BOOKS on the 6th floor before heading to Snow Peak Mobile on the 5th, MONO & SOUND SIT BACK & RELAX on the 2nd (open for a limited time only), and ending up at BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE on the 2nd basement floor.
