The musical “PARADE” (directed by Shintaro Mori) has been run super successfully now in Tokyo Japan, the company will go on its nationwide tour in February.
It might sound strange to US people that the play based on Leo Frank Case in 1915 Atlanta Georgia stunned so many Japanese audiences. However I strongly believe this play does make sense to be adopted overseas beyond the time, and we received the message “This Is Not Over Yet” correctly in THIS 2021. It could be happened anywhere in the world.
Since they are all Asian casts (for the book of American dark history), this Japanese direction has unique twists such as an actor of a black ‘witness’ also plays a white detective who ‘found’ him. Ako Takahashi translated lyrics of Jason Robert Brown into Japanese words amazingly, kept all of his melodies beautiful as it is!!!
Oh I really want you to see this show... it reminded me both "Hamilton" and the revival "Oklahoma!". Hope it would be broadcasted with English subtitles someday.

ミュージカル『パレード』東京楽おめでとうございます。やー、通い詰めました。悔い無し。考察と感想はTwitterで、我ながらドン引きするほど長く書いてます。おかげでフォロワー激減しました笑。２月は地方公演が続きます、本気でオススメなので一人でも多くの人に観てほしい。そもそもJRBの大ファンだし演出も最高、キャストも全員推せるけど、やはり我が推し #石川禅 #zenishikawa は凄まじかったよ。画像冒頭三枚は公式サイトより。
