今回は @小木 "Poggy" 基史 と共に都内某所に位置する @空山基 のスタジオを訪問。空山氏の手がけた @mizuno_sports_style のスニーカー WAVE PROPHECY SORAYAMA の制作秘話について伺った。

同モデルは、MIZUNO のフラッグシップモデル WAVE PROPHECY の記念すべき10作目。通常のコラボレーションにありがちなアッパーのデザインだけでなく、MIZUNO の構造的テクノロジーを結集したソールユニット “INFINITY WAVE” を空山基の監修のもとにアップデートさせている。“宙に浮いているスニーカー”をイメージしてデザインされており、ソール部は従来の “INFINITY WAVE” に比べ屈曲性の向上と軽量化を実現。半透明のパーツを組み込んだミッドソールとアウトソールの大きな空洞がユニークな1足に。アッパーは、透過性のある樹脂を採用した半透明仕様となり、シルバーのランバードロゴが燦然と輝いている

We visited the studio of Hajime Sorayama in Tokyo with Poggy to talk about the new WAVE PROPHECY SORAYAMA sneakers from MIZUNO and Hajime Sorayama. 

This latest design celebrates the 10th generation of MIZUNO’s flagship model WAVE PROPHECY.
The INFINITY WAVE sole unit is constructed using MIZUNO's structural technology and has seen a significant update through Sorayama’s design input. The standard upper that we often see in collaborative models has also been given a fresh look. The sole structure is designed to have improved flexibility and be more lightweight than the traditional INFINITY WAVE design to appear as if the sneakers float in the air. The unique appearance is further enhanced by the translucent parts incorporated into the midsole and the large air pockets in the outsole. The upper uses permeable resin to give a translucent effect and brilliantly features a silver RunBird logo.
