I learned stories of all the things they went through. It made me appreciate where I am and how I got there, who’s shoulders I stood on. I def recommend everyone researching these things, technology is giving us access to history so we should take advantage. Knowing your history is an important step to not repeating it... i know that’s a cliche but it’s still #facts . I found out way more then I thought I would including the plantation estates that enslaved my ancestors, but more then anything i found a way to reconnect and find roots.
