First tracks or first descent?

Marmot Club Ambassadors @dankrauss and @emerleeslc rapped into the Escalante slot canyons at first light. While traveling deep into the canyons can be lonely regardless of the time of day or year, the silence around you can be deafening before nature itself wakes up. That and the sounds of every move you make, dropping rope in, the clanking of metal gear and the calls of your climbing partner generate a booming echo that reverberates on the canyon walls.
