#DidYouKnow the Museum once had its own London Underground station? 🚂

This picture (courtesy of @ltmuseum) shows the platform of the ‘British Museum Station’ which was in use until 1933 when Holborn station opened around 100 metres away.

It would have been on what is now the Central line.

The London Underground first opened to the public #OnThisDay in 1863.
