Michael was essentially our resident director on Masters of Sex, returning time and again to shepherd us through the work and to help us tell a good story. He was gentle, warm, caring, sharp- every good thing you’ve heard about him, he was. Michael was also a guiding force in another (more personal) aspect of my life. Michael lost a son to colorectal cancer around the time the series was filming. Around that same time my mom had been diagnosed with colon cancer as well, and Michael passionately urged me to get a colonoscopy. I was turning 40, and had his son gotten one at that age, he said to me, he may not have lost his life. Michael cared deeply for his work. For his actors. For the stories that needed to be told, both professionally as well as personally. And yes, I got one. And will continue to. Thank you for all you did, Michael.」1月9日 6時14分
