Through all the hardships and uncertainty - there is a common thread of connection, unity, and love that has held us together. The community in my beloved New York feels closer and stronger than ever before. We have become bonded in our perseverance and tethered to one another in our mission to uplift and sustain the city. I am humbled to have bore witness to the last year. Participating in the Black Lives Matter protests this summer, attending the march for Black Trans Lives, laying flowers down for our hero RBG, dancing in the streets with friends, watching the voguers perform at Chelsea Piers, and celebrating the historic #BidenHarris win in Washington Square Park - each of these memories fill me with so much love and hope.
