I had another amazing and lovely time doing a soda firing with the delightful and talented @kowalskipottery (follow him and check out his work. He’s amazing and his technique is incredible and very unique). First I carved a bunch of vases and stuff to fire because the faceted work seems to respond well to soda firing. Then I rushed and fired them too soon and blew up about half of the vases. They literally explode if you fire them when they’re still wet at all. Then I took the remaining vases to Kevin with @laurenmillerrogen (who made some amazing bowls) and we covered the vases in flashing slip. Kevin soda fired them, and then we unloaded them and the results are quite wonderful!! Thanks again @kowalskipottery. I’ll be showing more pics soon!
