Last week I spent a few days wandering the canyons and Mesas of Bears Ears. The archeological abundance here is mind blowing. Truly a cradle of early American civilization that helps me to understand history in a way I didn’t learn in school. These granaries still contain corn cobs that are over 1000 years old. Tens of thousands of artifacts have been taken. The ones that remain often guarded by bold free solos. The only way to preserve what’s left is to protect and educate. When visiting we must tread lightly, consider every step and take nothing. @protectbearsears @cedarmesafriends
