布袋寅泰さんのインスタグラム写真 - (布袋寅泰Instagram)「HOTEI has unveiled the incredible music video for “Lotus Flower” featuring Italy’s legendary artist Zucchero. “Lotus Flower” is from HOTEI’s recent album Soul to Soul which consists of collaborative tracks that HOTEI has created with 14 stellar guest musicians from 7 different countries. Produced entirely through remote recording sessions with the passion to connect the world through music, Soul to Soul, his first collaboration album in 14 years, leads HOTEI to the 40th anniversary of his professional career next year. Zucchero is a world-renowned legendary artist from Italy, whose album sales exceed 60 million units to date. HOTEI and Zucchero first met each other in May 2016 in Japan at a music event commemorating the 150th anniversary of the diplomatic relationships between Japan and Italy, and they have continued to deepen their musical bond ever since on different occasions including the joint performance HOTEI’s Japan tour, Zucchero’s Italy tour and Royal Albert Hall concert in London, and Sanremo Music Festival. The music video for the grand rock ballad “Lotus Flower” was produced remotely also, where HOTEI filmed his parts in London and Zucchero in Italy, which were then merged by the Japanese director Hiroyuki Nakano, responsible for many of HOTEI’s popular music videos in the past. Zucchero‘s soulful vocals strongly convey the overall theme, “We will be reborn together like a lotus flower in the world full of light,” while HOTEI hammers out an overwhelming guitar solo. “ I’ve intentionally pursued the style of authentic rock ballad. I’m aware that some may say it’s old school, but I don’t mind. I truly love how Zucchero belts out from his soul and his passion has inspired me to play one of the best guitar solo ever.
