ティモウェイランドさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ティモウェイランドInstagram)「✨Reflecting on the year 2020, one of the most incredible and fulfilling day(s) of my entire adult life almost didn’t happen at all! I would have missed out & (wow) it was such a happy moment 👉🏼 on March 10th at @episcopalschooljax I had the distinct (& surprise) honor of being inducted into the school’s 🏆 Hall of Honor. A month or so before that time, I was 99.9% planning to cancel my return trip to Florida... I had fallen into a dark period of self-doubt, paralyzing insecurity, depression, a full mental health disaster 🌪 if you will. I thought that I was going back to helm several creative classroom discussions on the ESJ campus over 2 days and didn’t feel quite equipped to do that (or much else) at the time... exhausted after a failed relationship, broken engagement, several career roadblocks and other seemingly debilitating hiccups in life. I’m beyond thankful & appreciative for the steadfast support system around me and the learnings from this unprecedented period of turmoil. My chosen family all showed up 🔔 with bells on. I embraced and chose to be kind to myself... to commit to my own desire to be happy. I also chose to show up with an open-mind and do my best. Never thought I would enjoy the role of professor as much as I did those 2 days on the ESJ campus! My overall admiration for educators, mentors, coaches & the evolving system of teaching has never been greater. The following week in March of 2020, the school, nation, world 🌎 had to evolve yet again from physical to virtual, due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. I’m endlessly thankful to my alma mater for this opportunity- the time with students and faculty of this incredible place... & am really looking forward to celebrating 🥳 my big 2-0 Twentieth (!) High School Reunion later this year in April (or a TBC date soon!)... Moral of this story: Just show up & do your best.
