As a wildlife photographer and self-described "hawk chaser," Pat Gonzalez, an NYBG visitor services attendant, is always on the lookout for our resident Red-tailed Hawks—but there are plenty of other birds to find at the Garden this season, as well.
.
During your visit, keep an eye out for the Northern Cardinals, Black-capped Chickadees, White-throated Sparrows, and Tufted Titmice that call NYBG home, among the many other birds and mammals that can be spotted here flitting among the trees and scampering through the underbrush. The bare branches in late fall and winter provide the perfect opportunity to see our wildlife in action. Hit the link in our bio to hear more from Pat on her adventures photographing the hawks this year, including the nesting couple who produced a successful pair of hatchlings.
