北米と名古屋。異なる場所、異なる時代に存在した(存在する) ２つのバンドのドキュメンタリー映画がそれぞれ偶然にも公開中ということで、立て続けに２本観てきた。
1本目は “ THE BAND かつて僕らは兄弟だった ” 。親戚のお兄ちゃんに教えてもらって以来40年近く聴き続けているバンド。当時の秘話満載で、恍惚の境地でした。奇跡のような創作のエネルギーを発していたバンドは儚くも・・・。しかし後にも先にも、こんなに古くて新しい音を鳴らすバンドは見た事無い。僕史上、間違い無く世界一のバンドです。
そして2本目はthe原爆オナニーズのドキュメンタリー“ JUST ANOTHER ”。
高校生の頃にパンクミュージックにはまったので、このバンドの存在はもちろん知っていましたが、この映画で初めて演奏を観て聴きました。
1982年の結成以来今でも活動を続けるインディーズバンド。パンクとは、生きるとは、還暦を迎えても続ける表現の意味とは？人生を懸ける事の意味について深く考えさせられる良い時間でした。
この2つのドキュメンタリーを、同時に偶然観れた運命に感謝です。

North America and Nagoya. I've watched two documentaries about two different bands that existed (one still exists) in different places and at different times were released at the same time by chance.
The first one is "THE BAND We used to be brothers". A band I have been listening to for nearly 40 years since being taught by my relative. The film was full of untold stories, and I was so fascinated with all of them. This band’s creation was like a miracle, and it did not last long.. I've never seen a band that makes such an old and new sound in my life. It's the best band in the world in my history.
And the second one is the documentary "JUST ANOTHER" of the Genbaku Onanies.
I was addicted to punk music when I was in high school, so of course, I knew the existence of this band, but I saw and listened to the performance for the first time in this movie. An indie band that has been active since its formation in 1982. This movie got me thinking, “What is punk?” “What does it mean to live?” “ What does it mean to continue expressing their music after 60?”. I was glad to watch this movie because it made me think about the meaning of spending my life.
I was grateful for the fate of seeing these two documentaries on the same day.
