@hypebeastkicks: @vans has covered the Old Skool Checkerboard in traditional Japanese syllabary, reworking the midsole, medial side, and laces with the traditional characters. The Vans sport the Japanese symbols not just around the vulcanized white midsole unit, but also on the laces and as patches added onto the medial side of the sneaker. Black suede and white topstitching can be found along the toe box, tongue, eyestay panel and heel, while leather has been used for the Jazz Stripe which runs through the middle of the shoe.
