When an injury in college ended that dream I was forced to find a different path. That path was using my hands and heart, and it was my calling. For the last 30 years, like millions of other Americans I use my hands to support my family. This is something that I could not be more proud of. Skills, knowledge, and hard work steer my own destiny every single day. I think it is time to start teaching kids to embrace their desires to work with their hands. Not every kid needs to go to college or be a pro athlete or a music star to be successful. We need to show them that it’s an honor/privilege to work with your hands. It’s an honor to be an apprentice and work hard to gain the needed skills that will provide for them. Hard working Americans are the backbone of this country. My friend, President @realdonaldtrump shares these exact same ideas. He sees the opportunity to help kids embrace “blue collar” ideas with Schooling and Apprenticeship programs. In the next four years I am dedicated to help him build these programs. Dedicated to show kids the real path to high self value is right there in their own hands. I know it is not an easy task to wade through the sea of fake negativity about our President. But I also know how smart and determined Real Americans are. I know they see things just as I do.
