Time is flying here in Spain and as the end of October nears, no success for the moment on the final projects 🤔 Fall has arrived, and instead of the heat making things tricky, its the particularly cold wet weather bringing the change of the season which has been challenging. I haven’t made many tries in No Pain No Gain (9A+), but the few attempts I have made all have ended tragically with my knee slipping out of a clutch kneescum, about five moves below the last huge rest 😫🙄 In this clip from about a week ago you can see my current highpoint (only barely as this is not the best angle 🙈) I wasnt blown out which is really positive 👍 but I tried a new method which proved to be really bad call 😭 Hopefully it goes down soon 🤨 Between the waves of rain I have been bouldering in the cave specifically on a low start too an existing 8b boulder I did this summer, and its proving to be way harder than I expected 🤯!! After 8 sessions of trying from the start I still have only gotten about 16 moves in out of 35 and my initial speculation off 8B+ may have been bit off. Super resistant and lots of tension required, plus no chalking for first the 20 first moves 🤗 Looks like we have some beautiful days coming up with warmer temps, so its time to climb a muerte and finish off the longer routes before winter arrives!! Super syked to be climbing in such a majestic place, and enjoying my first Fall season here in the Mascun! With another wave of Covid taking over Europe I can only encourage everyone to stay safe, be smart, and stay syked (realllllly hoping to avoid another confinement 😳) Also, if you are American, PLEASE VOTE 🙏 !!!!
