西日本最高峰で紅葉登山🥾
Climbing at the highest peak in western Japan! 


愛媛県にある石鎚山は、標高1,982mの西日本最高峰🏔
山全体が聖域になってて、かつては空海や源氏も信仰していたとされる「山全体が聖域」の山です。

修験道の地でもあるし、登山口にも弥山(写真で私が座ってる場所)にも石鎚神社の社がありました⛩

そんな石鎚山は紅葉がキレイ！
毎年10月上旬くらいに、天にそびえたつ天狗岳の斜面がカラフルに紅葉します🍁
※2020年の見頃は過ぎています

この天狗の上までは行かなかったけど、すんごい角度で切り立った絶壁が大迫力でした👏

Mt. Ishizuchi in Ehime Prefecture is the highest in western Japan at an altitude of 1,982m 🏔 

The entire mountain is a sanctuary, and it is said that Kukai and Genji once worshiped the entire mountain as a sanctuary. It is also the place of Shugendo, and there was a shrine of Ishizuchi Shrine at the trailhead and at Misen (where I sit in the photo) ⛩ 

The autumn colors of Mt. Ishizuchi are beautiful! Every year around the beginning of October, the slopes of Mt. Tengu, which rises above the sky, turn colorfully in autumn colors 🍁 

I didn't go to the top of Mt.tengu, but the steep cliffs at a great angle were very powerful 👏
