So sad to say that Bremont ambassador Zef Eisenberg on Thursday was killed at Elvington Airfield in Yorkshire when his custom Porsche 911 Turbo, said to be capable of almost 240 mph, crashed while attempting to break the British land speed record for a flying kilometre.

In total Eisenberg held more than 47 land speed records, including the Holy Grail of 201.5 mph at Pendine Sands on Carmarthen Bay in South Wales on a supercharged Hayabusa motorbike in May 2018 – making him the world’s fastest biker on sand and beating Sir Malcolm Campbell’s record of 174 mph, set there in 1927. A month later he returned to clock up 210.3 mph in a Porsche 911 Turbo, making him the only person to exceed 200 mph by both car and bike on the Sands.

“Zef was a lovely man and a very talented individual who was successful in everything he did, he was an entrepreneur, engineer and an adventurer. My father’s moto was “It’s better to live life and lose it than never live life at all” and he certainly lived his life that way. He will be sadly missed and Bremont was proud to have been able work with him. Our thoughts are with his family at this time“ , said @gilesenglish Bremont Co-Founder
