We’d finish up climbing for the day, usually bleeding, sore and ready to drink booze and chill while these guys would pull-up at 8pm and start warming up. Headlamp sends, near decking, parties with strawberry flavored vodka, poker lessons, pipe smoking, hotels, dirty-ass-hot-spring sessions, crazy positive energy, drunk heart to hearts, laughs, lots of laughs, lessons from Coach Joe, praise from a new generation, school at Starbucks, 16 years old?, green hair, no coffee, Mcdonald’s, memories....respect on all levels. But what this post is really about is Tim’s 1:30am send of my route Bad Girls Club 5.14+. Proud of you dawg... I was honored by your words and respect for my contributions and specifically the route. I knew you’d do it. You put in work, created plans, tried it all out and never quit. It’s not easy falling off the top over 15 times. Dang! I know it was an epic moment and wish I coulda been there to see it... actually... fuck that I was sleeping at 1:30am so I’ll just have to appreciate the fact ya got video. 😆 .
