What if no one finds you on the trail for days? What if you get raped by a man? What if...? What if...? What if...?” I’ve heard everything in the book a thousand times. The people who have concern love me tremendously and have everything to loose if they loose me (and vice versa). But when you love something you don’t sit on your but until “everything” is perfect and you feel ready to go. You can never ever prepare for all the things that come your way out there in the wild and why wait? If you wait, you’ll be waiting forever. This trip put a lot into perspective: those people who say all those irritating things? I love them even more than I ever thought I could. And I’m probably gonna hear them say, “What if...?” a thousand more times but damnit I feel so blessed to even have them say anything at all. Please, please, please, go out there and do that thing you’ve always wanted to do. Life is short. Pandemics happen. Elections happen. Life happens. But whatever happens, don’t stop yourself from doing what you love. I definitely couldn’t have gotten through this extremely dynamic and hard trail without my @obozfootwear Mid Bridgers. They’re super light weight, which is what you want for packing trips. A lot of people love packing in sneakers. I just can’t do it but I do understand where they’re coming from now that I know what it’s like to have a light-weight boot.
