While I’m boiling water,

watching “Otoko-date” performance.

Rehearsal from today.

Performance line-ups are “Sanbaso” “kojo” “Otoko-date.”

First performance,
in “Sanbaso” the Okina prays for world peace, national tranquility, and does the “ten-chi-jin (heaven-earth-man)” dance.
“Senzai” leads the way,

then the “Sanbaso” dances for harvest and prosperity.

I chose this program as I believe this dance performance contains messages that are in need to the world today.

And
“kojo (formal greetings).”

Would like to greet my audience and enjoy our reunion face to face.

We move onto a flamboyant stage,
“Otoko-date Hana no Yoshiwara”‼️

A dance motif about a fight that starts off when a cool man (Otoko-date) loves a woman and another tries to steal it.

Back in the city of Edo (currently Tokyo), they used to say “fires and fights are the blossom of Edo.”

Oh, the water’s boiling.

男伊達。

今日から
稽古です。

三番叟　口上　男伊達。

まず
三番叟は
翁が天下泰平　国土安穏
天地人の舞。
千歳が露払い、

そして
三番叟が、
五穀豊穣　子孫繁栄となるわけですね。

今の世に
必要なメッセージが含まれた
舞踊と考え
私はこの演目を選択しました。

そして
口上。

皆様との懐かしい時を
リアルにと、

そして
華やかな舞台

男伊達花廓
おとこだてはなのよしわら‼️

男の恋と横恋慕から
始まる
喧嘩の舞踊。

江戸では昔
火事と喧嘩は江戸の花と申したそうで御座います。
