If you’ve seen yesterday’s post - here’s how the scarf was worn in the show at the time - first around the neck with nothing underneath, and then as a skirt wrapped around the waist ( see next photo) .. I was thinking today how this way of designing has become almost obsolete- nobody would have the time to actually look at this properly and even less explain it to a client in a store.. Everything has to be so much more immediate and clear - if it takes more than the time it takes to click it’s already too much . I’m not saying this is a bad thing- it’s just that it has completely changed the way designers ( including myself) work.
Things need to be recognizable in a second , there’s no time to get to know something anymore.. which I suppose is a reason why so much of what we see looks ( and is ) familiar. Is this a good thing ? I have no idea .. but it is what it is 😊
