Did you know, it’s International Cats Day today! 😻
This is my Persian fur ball Matilda, she’s 14 years old, older than my daughter Sabrina lol)) I got her for Sherzod’s birthday when we moved to the US.
A few fun facts about Matilda:
- I named her “Matilda” after a cat character from an old soviet cartoon called “Karlson on the roof” (“Карлсон который живет на крыше»)
- Matilda always looks grumpy, but she’s very sweet.
- Unlike most cats, Matilda doesn’t crave much of interactions with humans, she just likes to be in the same room with us, but never touched or hugged. And we respect that!
- She can’t really properly meow and the sound that comes out of her is more like a duck quacking and for that reason we make fun of her all the time 😸
- She is very furry and loves to be brushed. A lot! Sometimes she chases us down and touches our heels asking us to brush her and that gives her ultimate pleasure )))
- Every summer she gets a haircut
- She’s a picky eater and prefers fish, mostly salmon pate.
