While testing out Kohilo's prototype, playing around with it in the studio, we figured out that we could cut-open the sleeve in the middle, and using the cut, be able to wear the piece as a garment. It ended up being a full jacket. What is interesting here, is the process: we basically folded a rectangle in half, and then added sleeves at the two ends of this fold. So in the end the whole volume comes from that rectangle of fabric wrapped around the body. There are no shoulder lines, the construction is not at all classic for a piece of garment.” .
