Dearest Ms. Mieko Hirota
This is really painful and I probably will never get over it but I will go through it....

Last night I cried all night knowing that you passed...

The first time I met you was in Jan 2008 for the Ryuha R TV interview. The show brought us together because I sampled one of your song “Doberman Deka No Theme” for my 2nd album “CRY”. I had tears rolling down that instant moment we met and you hugged me. I just knew in my heart that we already met in our past lives and we were definitely not greeting for the first time but “reuniting”. I remember, it was so hard to keep my cool on camera with my mascara melting all over my face during the interview 😂

As our conversation got deeper into the interview we found out so many things we have in common . We exchanged our contacts and even went to have dinner few months later .... we talked about Beyoncé and all the R&B singers we loved😉

You are the true pioneer of R&B music in Japan and a legend to so many. I will always be your fan and forever be in Love with your “one in a million” voice. I’m so grateful to have been able to work with you and share part of our musical journey. You will always be my mentor/friend. I’m not saying goodbye because I know for sure I will see you again. Until then, I promise to keep on singing!

初めてあなたと出逢ったのは2008年1月。
TV番組「流派-R」の対談インタビュー。
ミコさんの曲「ドーベルマン刑事のテーマ」を私がサンプリングカバーしたことで対談が実現しました。

その時のことは今でも覚えています。
あなたとハグしたその瞬間、ポロポロと涙が流れ、まるで長き友人と再会したような感覚に包まれました。
私はマスカラでボロボロとなった顔で必死に収録を進めたけど、
お互いに共通する部分が凄く見えた対談で本当に特別な日だった。。。

インタビュー後も連絡を取り合って、数ヶ月後には二人でディナーにも行きましたね！
