I went to the Yasaka shrine to participate in ‘Nagoshi-no-Harae.‘ During Nagoshi-no-Harae, 'Chinowa kuguri' (or "passing through a ring of miscanthus") is performed in many shrines. Chinowa kuguri is a traditional seasonal ritual for good health in which you pass through a big circle made of tall grass (thatch). By passing through this circle of thatch, you will be free from illness and overcome the heat of summer. I like Japanese traditional events like this. I think it's very good to follow and pass down our traditions from generation to generation.
茅の輪くぐりで心身を清め、無病息災を祈ってきました。いろいろなことを知り、むやみに怖がることはなくなりましたが...。2020年、残り半年。みんな元気で笑って過ごせますように🙏
