We caught up with Miles to see how the past few months have been based in Australia and if any positive changes or lessons have emerged from this period: “I think the fact that it's become clear that in these times of distress and retreat people have turned to music for healing, and for it to soothe them and take them away from the daily worries and anxieties of the world around them. I was lucky to have the time to plunge very deep into musical areas that I haven't been to for many years. Finding new stuff, immersing myself in nostalgia and sharing back and forth with friends and even people I've never even met before. It's been a very stressful time for artists and musicians and the music industry in general, so I hope that as things slowly return to normal people remember how much the sounds have helped, alleviated and connected them when that physical side of social interactions hasn't been there for us. Music is a key part of life in my opinion and we need to use it to bring us back in touch with each other and restore us. On a personal level, like many others, I've realised that the things that matter are friends, family and community and realised how much stuff doesn't matter.
