Other production and manufacturing processes include the Gucci Scrap-less program, uses less water and chemicals and minimizing the amount of finished leather scraps by tanning only the leather needed for production. Gucci also promotes metal or chrome free tanning for a lower environmental impact and upcycles leather and textile offcuts created during manufacturing through the ‘Gucci-Up’ program.
