フェザーフレンズさんのインスタグラム写真 - (フェザーフレンズInstagram)「In a continued effort to promote individuals, small businesses, and non-profits within the local Black community, today we’ll be highlighting Black artists and collectives in Seattle. We believe art serves as a powerful tool for the public, and a beautiful medium for expression and learning particularly during times of change. We encourage you to check these accounts out, their impact on the community is profound and can’t be appreciated enough!⠀ ⠀ Aramis O. Hamer (@aohamer) has been painting the world she would like to see since she moved to Seattle in 2013. A nurse turned full time artist, she has been using her vivid paintings and murals to share her message of liberation. Visit her website to check out her gallery, events, and a great map showing where you can find her murals around the city.⠀ ⠀ The Central District Forum for Arts & Ideas (@cdforum) has been a staple community non-profit promoting Black community, creativity, identity, and passion for the last 20 years in Seattle. Their mission is to provide a platform for provocative arts and ideas that foster awareness of and involvement in Black experiences. Check out their website for future events, both virtual and in their theater, and more black excellence in the arts.⠀ ⠀ Wa Na Wari (@wanawariseattle) is a 5th-generation Black-owned house in the Central District of Seattle, and a refuge for regional Black artists to showcase their work. In addition to being a platform for local artists, Wa Na Wari is also tackling the abrupt gentrification of the Central District, and the housing crisis it has created for the predominantly Black community in the area. They truly serve as a community hub in Seattle, and we look forward to them hosting events again soon.⠀」6月11日 8時05分 - featheredfriends1972
