I want to talk about hope, as you scroll through more photos of this weekend’s protests in Los Angeles, captured by @blaircaldwell. I’m hopeful because I’ve never seen a group of people so mobilized in this country, with no intentions of stopping. I’m hopeful because I see folks from all walks of life chanting and believing and ensuring that #BlackLivesMatter. I’m hopeful because we’re slowly seeing changes – ones that are overdue and surely aren’t enough, yet they’re signs of a real shift. Yes, I’m angry and frustrated and tired. But I’m hopeful, too.
