映画『朝が来る』の日本公開初日が、10月23日(金)に決定！
そして！カンヌ国際映画祭公式作品【CANNES 2020】に選出されました！！
カンヌ国際映画祭は、映画を間においてその愛に魅せられた人々の集う世界最高峰の場。
スポーツで言えばオリンピックみたいなところ。
俳優は選ばれし選手たち。
一番いい色のメダルを掲げる表彰台はあの赤いカーペットの向こうにある。
多くの人々がその映画に惜しみない拍手を送る。医療従事者の方々へ送られた拍手のように、その映画に出逢えたことへの「感謝」の拍手。
人生を救われたり、壊れそうになった心を繋ぎ止めてくれたりする、映画は魔法だ。 正直に言えば、カンヌという、あの夢のような場所に「朝が来る」に参加した日本を代表する俳優やスタッフと共に行きたかった。そして、分かち合いたかった。
でも、まだ地球ではそれができない。
それは映画という「人生」の続きの場であり未来を形づくるリアルな舞台。
その舞台はきっと、「朝が来る」の上映を待っている。
【CANNES 2020】という称号をいただけたことを誇りにして、これを機に、より多くの人々へこの映画を贈ります。
皆んなに早く逢いたいよ。

In addition, it was chosen as one of the films in the Cannes International Film Festival Official Selection 2020!! The Cannes International Film Festival is the most prominent place in the world where people enchanted by their love for these films gather.
It's like what the Olympics are for sports.
Actors are the chosen athletes.
The podium where the best-colored medal would be raised is on the other side of the red carpet.
Many people will give that film a generous round of applause. Like the applause given to medical staff, it is one full of "gratitude" for the chance to meet that film.
With the ability to rescue a life, or grab on to a heart that's on the brink of collapse, films have a certain kind of magic.
Cannes is that kind of a dream-like place, and to be honest, I was hoping to go and represent Japan with the actors and staff that participated "Asa Ga Kuru". And, I wanted to share it.
But, we can't do that yet on Earth.
It's a place for the continuation of "life" that film is, and a real-life stage that gives form to the future.
That stage is surely waiting for the screening of "Asa Ga Kuru".
I am very proud to have received the honor of Cannes 2020, and will take this opportunity to present this film to even more people.
I want to see all of you soon.
All of the characters are hoping for that, too.
After all, there is no dusk without a dawn.
